A few things to consider when buying Dental Insurance!

Hey Everyone
My name is Jim Martinez, your friendly Benefits Consultant with 18 yrs of experience in the dental industry!
As i promised in my last Audio, I wanted to come back and talk a little bit about what your options are when it comes to choosing a dental plan vs Dental Insurance.

There are two options
Discount dental plans and Dental insurance.
Let me point out some difference.

(1) Beware of the monthly cost’s discount dental plans average $25.00 to about 40.00 a month…..
Dental insurance average cost’s per month $70.00 to $140.00 a month
(2) Waiting periods

Discount dental plans Absolutely No Waiting period’s
Dental Insurance organize their plans into three groups.

(1) Preventive care Oral check ups, cleanings and x-ray’s 6 months to 12 months waiting period.

(2) Basic care, Fillings, Extractions, deep cleaning’s 12 months to 18 months waiting periods.

(3) Major care, Root canals, implants, oral surgery, all specialist that have an advanced degree. 12 month to 18 months waiting periods.

Deductibles
Pay attention to this one.
If you choose to go with a lower deductible your monthly premium will be higher.

If you choose the higher deductible in this case your premium will be lower.

Limit’s or Caps
With Ameriplan discount dental plans No Limit’s

With dental insurance $750.00 to $15.00 cap limit’s again pay attention to this one. this hasn’t changed in over 40 years.
Age Limit’s with Ameriplan discount dental – No age requirements.

I am Not sure if you knew this, but the older you get it gets more difficult and expensive to find a good dental plan.

Dental Insurance May not be for everyone and may not be cost effective for seniors, For many older Americans paying for dental services is a serious concern, and they really can’t rely on medicare so a discount dental plan would be a good option here in this instance.

There is so much more i want to share with you, SO STAY TUNED!
